Re: Exhaust.....

I'm also gonna cheat with the bending, i intend making lots of small 'V's in the tube, then bending it to suit, and then welding or brazing the cuts up..... it may not be pretty, but it saves the grief of finding someone to do it for me.... it does mean that i can make it fit as near as possible, th...

Re: Exhaust.....

Re: Carb needles....

Well done Ken, you confused the hell out of me, but that doesn't take a lot!!.. Oddly the needle that is in the carb at the moment is an MD, or maybe MO...... so lord knows where that came from!! Rolling road.... Hmmm, Janspeed have one in salisbury, which ironically is smack bang next door to Burle...

Carb needles....

Having had the carb rebuilt by Burlen Services, they claimed not to have any data on which needle would be fitted to a minor, so i said to just leave the one that was in it when i took it to them, however, now that the engine is complete, and with it's 12/12 cam, i suspect that even a standard minor...

Re: Exhaust.....

Right, I for one would be interested in an OHC system.,.... So.. 1 Ronald Hogg. OHC Ken, fear not, if this doesn't come off, then i WILL make a silencer, and even if it does, it's still easy enough to add baffles to an unbaffled silencer, simply make cuts halfway down where you want a baffle, cut th...

Re: Exhaust.....

WOW, i never expected so much discussion, shame there's not an off the shelf system with conical silencer available, i suspect i shall end up making one to be honest, as i'm not too worried about the asthetics of the actual silencer, i can easily make one that will be roughly right, which has always...

Exhaust.....

Do Sports and vintage, or anyone else come to that do an off the shelf exhaust for the ohc Minor...... i think the one on the car is so thin the masses of power from the new engine will blow it apart....LOL!!! Will also need front and rear engine mounts.... although i suspect they will be easier to ...

Re: MT 3286..........

Great news Ronald, but wouldn't your Dad be shocked - if fact I expect he is, and smiling to himself. I can imagine him thinking that in spite of all the work and money spent, old MT won't go as fast as it did in my hands! No way! By the way, next time you try to take photos I suggest you ask your ...
